Jewish Seminaries Ordain Deaf Rabbis

Filed under: Judaism and Disability — Mark @ 11:13 p

This article from the New York Jewish Week traces the journeys of two deaf rabbis. It is a good article.

I have often said that you know you’re welcome in a place when you are given work to do. The ordination and acceptance of religious leaders who have disabilities is a huge step. Seeing Rabbis, Imams, Priests and Pastors who have disabilities gives people with disabilities hope that extravagant welcome is possible. Thanks Be To G-d.
