Disability Blog Carnival #38 can be found over at Ryn Tale’s Book of Day. The theme of the blog carnival is spirituality and disability. I know I am a little late with the newsflash and I apologize, There are some great reflections from people with disabilities and family members about spirituality.
What do you think after reading these reflections?
This article from the New York Jewish Week traces the journeys of two deaf rabbis. It is a good article.
I have often said that you know you’re welcome in a place when you are given work to do. The ordination and acceptance of religious leaders who have disabilities is a huge step. Seeing Rabbis, Imams, Priests and Pastors who have disabilities gives people with disabilities hope that extravagant welcome is possible. Thanks Be To G-d.
