Use of Cookies.  What are cookies? Cookies are pieces of information that a Web Site transfers to an individual's hard drive for record-keeping purposes while at the site. Cookies make web-surfing easier by saving your passwords, purchases, and preferences for you. The use of cookies is an industry standard, and you'll find cookies at most major web sites.  IDC does not use information transferred through cookies for any promotional or marketing purposes, nor is the information shared with any third parties. IDC does not use cookies to identify individuals or to retrieve information from your computer that was not originally sent in a cookie.

Cookies help make IDC better by showing us how and when guests use the Web Site. They do not, however, gather user specific information about persons who use the We Site. Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies. If you'd prefer, you can set yours to refuse cookies. However, it is possible that some areas of the Web site will not function properly if you do so.

Security.  We employ various security measures designed to help protect the Personal Information that we collect about you.  We have instituted software firewalls to protect our servers and network.  IDC maintains Personal Information provided by you to IDC in a secure database using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology while that information is in the possession of IDC.  Unfortunately, no transmission of information over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure and therefore we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any such information. You can help us to protect your Personal Information by (i) not sharing your password or other account information with others, (ii) using a secure web browser, and (iii) changing your password frequently.

Managing Your Information.  You have the right to request corrections to your Personal Information we have collected via the Web Site.  You may also “opt-out” of receiving certain types of communication from us.  However, you will not be able to opt-out of receiving all types of communication, such as service announcements and administrative messages, as these types of communications are a necessary part of your membership account. You can make such a request or a related inquiry by contacting us using our contact information as provided below.  Please note that modification of your account status will not stop communications (i) that are generated before IDC can accomplish the modification of the status of your Personal Information or (ii) from third parties with whom IDC may have already shared your information, as permitted under this Policy. IDC also reserves the right to retain any Personal Information reasonably necessary to appropriately document its business activities and for archival and record retention purposes.  We will store your Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.
